Features for Your Data Archiving

Our platform brings together all the tools companies need for the secure management and long-term archiving of digital assets – from automated backup to audit-proof storage.

View all services

Automated Backup Processes

Define backup cycles that run without manual intervention. Changes to documents are saved as versions, so every previous state remains traceable and recoverable.

Protection against data loss through regular, rule-based backups

Encryption at All Levels

Data is encrypted both during transmission and at rest. Access rights can be assigned granularly per user and department, ensuring only authorized personnel can view sensitive records.

End-to-end encryption and role-based access control

Intelligent Full-Text Search

Search large archives in fractions of a second – by file name, metadata, or content. The search function recognizes synonyms and context, so even imprecise search terms lead to the right document.

Quick access to archived content without manual folder structures

Versioning and Audit Trail

Every change to a document is logged: who changed what and when? The complete history is preserved and can be exported for internal records or external audits.

Traceable change history for compliance and auditing

Scalable Enterprise Storage

The platform grows with your data volume – from a few terabytes to the petabyte range. Storage capacity can be expanded as needed without having to replan your infrastructure.

Flexible capacity expansion without operational interruption

Automatic Retention Periods

Set rules for automatically deleting documents after statutory periods expire or moving them to long-term storage. This keeps you compliant without manual sorting.

Legally compliant adherence to retention obligations

Clear Rules for Archiving

To avoid any misunderstandings, we disclose the most important terms and conditions of our platform. These notes supplement the general terms and conditions and apply to all contracts and services.

Frequently asked questions about data archiving

Answers to the most important questions

How long do archived data remain available?

Availability depends on the selected storage class. For active data sets, we maintain multiple redundant copies in different data centers. For long-term archiving, we use special cold storage systems that ensure retrievability over decades. You define the specific retention period via your archiving policy.

How does the encryption of my data work?

All data is encrypted on your system before it is transmitted. For transmission, we use TLS 1.3, and for storage, AES-256. Key management is handled by you or optionally by us in a separate key store. This keeps access to your data technically restricted even for us.

Can I restore earlier versions of a document?

Yes, versioning is a core component of the platform. Every change to a file creates a new version, which is retained for 90 days by default. You can view, compare, and restore an earlier version at any time. The version history can be configured individually per folder or file.

How does the migration of existing data sets work?

Migration takes place in three phases: First, we analyze your existing data structure and define the archiving rules. Then we transfer the data step by step over a secure connection, and you can track the progress in the dashboard at any time. Finally, we verify the integrity of all transferred files and document the result.

What access rights can I set for my team?

You can define fine-grained roles, such as administrator, archive manager, or reader. Permissions can be assigned at the folder level, by file type, or for individual documents. In addition, we log every access and every change, so you can always trace who accessed which data.

How often are automatic backups created?

Backup cycles are configurable. By default, we create hourly backups for active data, daily backups for archiving, and weekly backups for long-term storage. You can adjust the intervals to your operational requirements. All backups are encrypted and stored at a geographically separate location.
